Buxfest 2025

Well where do I start with this show... It was absolutely amazing.

All set up

Saturday the 2nd August saw Carl, Ethan, Guy and myself head over to Stoney Middleton (yes I've never heard of this place either) it is literally in the middle of nowhere, just outside of Buxton. How they got the trucks up those lanes and in the fields I will never know. Then I spotted the fully loaded car transporters! Hats off to you professional drivers, I would have given up in the car, it's a good job Carl was driving.

We set the stall up and got settled in for the day.

The show wasn't huge but it was the atmosphere which made it such a perfect day out. The sun was shinning and the people were out cleaning and chatting, once the previous nights nana's punch had worn off.

The morning was slow but we were enjoying the smell form the food stall we were next too. The guys all had to have a breakfast bap, and a pizza later on just to test it out. It was all lovely, I even got a Gluten Free pizza. Thank you to Celebrate Catering, the link to the page is here - Facebook Celebrate Catering

The stall ticked over across the whole day with of course, the plush bears been a huge hit. We spoke to quite a few people, some who had met us before and others who were just finding out about our journey. As the afternoon started to wind down the fun and games began. The entertainment got going, live music and a DJ.

The Buxfest team had a whole host of kids and adult games planned. Ethan was determined to have a go at nearly all of them and managed to bag himself 3rd then 2nd and then 1st in 3 of the races. The adults also joined in and I have to say they were way more competitive than the kids!

It is definitely a worthwhile truck show to attend either in the truck for the weekend or just for a day as a guest, with entertainment on the stage it was a brilliant day had by all and we were quite sad to leave. We have never been fans of camping but I think we could manage one night for this show.

Looking forward to next year, big thank you to Michelle and the team.
